Why Uniforms? Increase Employee Performance and Customer Satisfaction
06 Sep

Why uniforms? Research shows employees who wear a uniform can perform at a higher level than those who don’t.* Also, for many in the retail or services market, it’s all about Employee Identification, Customer Confidence, Security and Branding.

A uniform program ensures:

Could you imagine a world where Doctors didn't wear lab coats?
23 Aug

Think back to your most recent visit to a hospital or doctor’s office. Did the nurse who took your pulse and blood pressure wash her hands before touching you?  How often are his or her scrubs laundered and sanitized?

How about your doctor?  Does he wear a tie? How often is it cleaned? What about doctors who wear lab coats?  How often are they changed?

Scrubs and Hospital Security
26 Jul

I received a call from one of our salesmen the other day.  He asked, “Do we make any ugly scrubs for any of our customers?”

“Say again.”

“I have a customer that is looking for really bright scrubs, in something like construction orange.”

I get it, for vendors visiting the hospital. We used to ship buttercup colored scrubs to a Midwest hospital, for their visitors. Hospitals like to keep track of vendors wandering the halls. If they are in a bright color, they’re easy to distinguish from hospital staff.

The Rise of Scrubs with No Pockets

I’ve been working in the customer service department for over 14 years, and it seems like there isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t learn something new. Recently I had a customer ask, “when are you going to start providing clean scrubs, especially warm-ups?”  The term “clean scrubs” baffled me.  We provide inter suits in our Worklon line; they look sort of like regular scrub tops and bottoms but are worn under cleanroom garments. However, apparently this wasn’t what she had in mind.

24 May

This week, we're picking back up on the rapidly emerging industry of RFID Technology. As I had mentioned in last month's blog post, the amount of advantages to using this technology is unbeatable. A sampling of these advantages include: Creating efficiencies in processing, managing losses, identifying item stockpiles at customer sites, improving quality and building trust and loyalty with customers. Below, I go in depth on each of these categories to provide a better understanding of just how important RFID Technology is within a laundry and rental system.

The up and coming innovation: RFID Technology

The Commercial Laundry Business is tough and gets tougher every day.  Our customers are smarter through the ways that they conduct and run their business, while demanding a wider selection of products and services.  Competition continues to be a driving price pressure and controlling production and labor costs is an increasing challenge. Innovation is the key to success. Many laundries are turning to innovative applications of Radio Frequency Identification technology (RFID) as a way to deal with these challenges.
