Brand Consistency: How it can help your Outpatient Facility
18 Oct

Outpatient facilities are often a part of a large hospital or IDN. In a way, an outpatient facility is an extension of a unified health system and therefore a representation of the health system's brand and image. This may seem like a great thing for the brand, until upon closer inspection, some may find that uniforms don't match, patients can't identify their caregivers and employees don't feel like a part of a unified workplace.

Could you imagine a world where Doctors didn't wear lab coats?
23 Aug

Think back to your most recent visit to a hospital or doctor’s office. Did the nurse who took your pulse and blood pressure wash her hands before touching you?  How often are his or her scrubs laundered and sanitized?

How about your doctor?  Does he wear a tie? How often is it cleaned? What about doctors who wear lab coats?  How often are they changed?

The Rise of Scrubs with No Pockets
28 Jun

I’ve been working in the customer service department for over 14 years, and it seems like there isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t learn something new. Recently I had a customer ask, “when are you going to start providing clean scrubs, especially warm-ups?”  The term “clean scrubs” baffled me.  We provide inter suits in our Worklon line; they look sort of like regular scrub tops and bottoms but are worn under cleanroom garments. However, apparently this wasn’t what she had in mind.

2.      Model compassion and empathy

3.      Provide support in the form of human, material and emotional resources

Will Assisted Living Pass its Torch to the Next Generation?
07 Sep

Entering an assisted living facility brings back a multitude of memories about living in a college dorm. The residents here, mostly elderly, have a dining hall and a lobby with a piano, yet the entire facility seems void of any human presence. As I leave the elevator and start towards a former neighbor’s room, I come across doors with decorations, the first sign of some personal effects.

Why Millennials Still Find Healthcare Unaffordable
24 Aug

In April, Baby Boomers passed the crown as the largest living generation to Millennials, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. There are now more Americans between the ages of 18-34 than those aged 51-69.  Millennials have an increasing influence on just about every industry out there, including Healthcare.  But why do only two-thirds of Millennials have health insurance?

Technology's Impact on the Healthcare Job Market
10 Aug

Will healthcare jobs in America be shrinking?  And is the opportunity for high paying healthcare jobs decreasing? You ask, how? Isn’t America growing older, and needing more services?  Is technology to blame?

A Millennials Approach to Healthcare
03 Aug

Major retailers like Nike, Apple and Coca-Cola have all chosen to change the way they market to millennials and now healthcare providers are jumping on the band wagon as well.  This year Millennials overtook the Baby Boomers as the largest living generation, that’s a whopping 75.3 million people that will need a healthcare provider during their lifetime.  Similar to making a retail purchase, Millennials like to do their homework before choosing a healthcare provider.  But the Millennial approach
